It’s been a life long quest to share music and guitars with those who show a desire to learn. If you have a guitar, you’re far more likely to learn to play it. Playing an instrument can increase confidence, can be a healthy outlet, and can heal. Throughout the work of this first project, the idea of spreading Peace through Art has been an essential driving force.
What we’ve accomplished:
1.
We have obtained more than 10 guitars, multiple sets of strings, and more to gift to the music students of Benny Moré School of Music in Cienfuegos, Cuba.
2.
Each member of our team is playing a key role to help make this project happen. One of the biggest challenges is working through the red tape to get the gifts from the US to Cuba, and not get them tangled up in customs at the airport. We’ve come up with a great plan for this first run!
